This weeks pick for New York Mets photo of the week is the New York Mets 2009 #1 draft pick, Stephen Matz. Matz appears in the photo above last week at Citi Field with his parents. According to NJ.com, Matz was signed for $895,000. Matz is a Left Hand Pitcher out of Ward Melville High School (East Setauket, NY). He looks to have pretty good stuff, so let’s hope he pans out to be a good one. Here is some video on Matz pitching.
