The New York Mets were very busy Tuesday night. First the Mets sign pitcher Jon Rauch, then they trade Angel Pagan to the San Francisco Giants for Ramon Ramirez and Andres Torres, finally to cap the night they sign pitcher Frank Francisco. Details of all the deals can be found here. These moves were clearly to address the glaring bullpen needs. Watch the video below to hear my thoughts.

MLB Trade Rumors recently posted a list of Projected Arbitration Salaries. The list includes the following Mets players:
Mike Pelfrey – $5.8MM
Angel Pagan – $4.7MM
Ronny Paulino – $1.6MM
Taylor Buchholz – $1.2MM
Manny Acosta – $1.1MM

Last week I ran a poll and asked you guys to pick which free agent pitcher you want the most. Below are the results. Brandon Webb and Chris Young tied at 37.5%. Even though I voted for Chris Young, I was surprised to see that Brandon Webb did not get the overwhelming amount of votes I thought he’d get since he’s a former Cy Young award winning and the most recognizable name on the list. Metsblog reported yesterday that Webb has signed with the Rangers, so looks like he’s off the market at this point anyway.
