I was digging through my basement and came across an autograph baseball signed by Willie Randolph and Cliff Floyd that was given to me as a gift a few years back. Take a look at some of the photos below.

I was cleaning up the basement this weekend and I came across my baseball cards. When I was a kid I use to collect baseball cards religiously. As I was flipping through the cards I noticed that I had a pretty nice collection of Mets cards. Here is a look at some of the Mets I have collected over the years.
With Halloween a few days away and the Mets two biggest rivals set to square off in the World Series, I figured this pic is an appropriate depiction of how most of us Mets fans feel.

At that time I responded to Michael and said “I’ve got a home Seaver jersey. I rarely wear it. I’ve got a blue with orange trim t-shirt which is my go to..” With that said, I figured I’d take it a step further and catalog every piece of Mets clothing I own (yes I know I’m crazy). Below are pics of everything that is currently in my Mets Closet.
This weeks pick for New York Mets photo of the week is a photo from Flickr buddy penner42. “What A Mess” pretty much sums up the entire Mets season.
What a Mess!

This weeks pick for New York Mets photo of the week is a photo I took a couple years ago on my visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. This year has been such a negative one for the Mets, I wanted to post this photo to remind us all that it is possible for the Mets to actually win

This weeks pick for New York Mets photo of the week is a scary one. As most of you know David Wright was hit in head unintentionally by a Matt Cain fastball. Wright has been placed on the disabled List as a precaution but thank goodness Wright is ok. Get well Wright and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Saturday night I attended an independent league baseball game between the Newark Bears and Somerset Patriots. The Patriots ended up winning 10-7 but it was interesting to see a couple former New York Mets players.
I was already aware that Armando Benitez was playing for the Bears as he tries to make a come back to the majors but was surprised when I saw Carl Everett out on deck, batting 4th for the Bears. Both seem to be playing well this season. According to the Newark Bears website, Everett is batting .321 with 14hrs in 87 games and Benitez has 14 saves. As for the game itself, Everett was 1-4 with a walk. Benitez did not play.
Yesterday I attended my 8th game this season at Citi Field. Unfortunately the Metsblew a lead late and the St. Louis Cardinals ended up winning the game 12-7. Before the game, I was able to make my way through the parking lot and finally get some photos of the markings of the old base path at Shea Stadium. Below are a couple pics I snapped of the bases and a few pieces of NY Mets artwork.
Here are some photos I took at the Mets vs. Nationals game. The Mets won 8-2. If your looking for a nice recap of the game, check out TheRopolitans.com
