I received brochure in the mail today from Sports Travel and Tours (below is a pic of the cover). I was flipping through the brochure and there were a number of packages and deals for every region of the country. For example, there is an “Interleague Extra” package. 6 Ballparks, 6 Games, 9 Teams all in 7 days. The trip covers Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington, Philadelphia and New York (Yankees). If you plan hitting the road this summer to visit a few ballparks you may want to check these guys out.

Monday, February 22nd, 2010I just wanted to give you guys a few links of some Mets stories I’m reading today:
-Metsblog contributor Michael Baron has posted some photos of his visit to Mets Spring Training.
-Eric Simon of Amazin Avenue gives a preview to the cover of The Amazin’ Avenue Annual which drops March 1, 2010.
-Below is a video I found over at Mets Report of ESPN’s Jayson Stark and Jim Caple discussing their picks for the biggest losers of the offseason. Yes the Mets are mentioned..

David Wright Wears Guyliner
Saturday, January 30th, 2010Not sure whether to file this under “Embarrassing Mets Moments” or not. I found this video over at DblJerseyGirl’s YouTube Channel. Hopefully the guys in the clubhouse will give Wright a good ribbing for this one….

Monday, January 25th, 2010Just wanted to give you guys a few links of some Mets stories I read over the weekend:
-At Metsblog Michael Baron writes about how Gary Matthews Jr was a good teammate in LA. This is good to hear because the last thing the Mets need right now is trouble in the clubhouse.
-Wendy Adair of the Bleacher Report wonders if 2010 is the year for Daniel Murphy To Shine or Fade. I’ve said in the past, if the Mets don’t bring back Carlos Delgado they better have a back-up plan that does not include Murphy playing every day. Murphy playing every day for a team that claims they want to win is unacceptable.
-Over at The Ropolitans, Andrew’s readers have spoken. They have voted David Wright as 2009 Met of the Year. If you recall, when the season ended I picked Luis Castillo as my choice for 2009 Mets MVP.
Cerrone Interviews Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry
Saturday, January 23rd, 2010In the video below, Matt Cerrone of Metsblog interviews Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry. They discuss role models, their time with the Mets and being inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame. Gooden and Strawberry are probably my two favorite Mets of all-time so it’s good to see them back in Blue and Orange.

Friday, January 15th, 2010Happy Friday. Here are a few links to get your day going.
-Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last few days, you know that Carlos Beltran had surgery on his knee and the Mets are not happy about it. Beltran recently responded to the Mets. Check out Metsblog to see Beltran’s comments. My thoughts: It’s really unbelievable how many issues fill the Mets organization from top to bottom. No reality TV show can compete with the drama that is the New York Mets. I wonder if this would have happened a few weeks earlier if Jason Bay would have still signed with this team…
-WFAN had a number of Mets visit their radio station this week. One of the more entertaining interviews was Mike Pelfrey on the Boomer and Carton Show.
-In the video below courtesy of NJ.com David Wright discusses the upcoming 2010 season. This interview was done a few days before the the Beltran mess came out so it’s kind of funny to hear Wright say “we have to find a way to stay healthy…”
