WHAT: Daniel Murphy will assist Far Rockaway residents affected by Hurricane Sandy joining New York Cares volunteers helping with the distribution of food and supplies.

WHO: Daniel Murphy                        

WHERE: Church of the Nazarene – 1414 Central Avenue (between Nameoke Avenue and Bayport Place). Far Rockaway, New York   

WHEN: Wednesday, January 16. 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

DETAILS ON CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE: The Community Church of the Nazarene in Far Rockaway opened its doors as a shelter to church and community members who had nowhere else to go after Hurricane Sandy.  The church is developing partnerships with donors, support groups, and volunteers to deliver relief and restoration to the entire community and is currently serving as a full-service hub for residents needing not only immediate support but long term assistance rebuilding and restoring their lives.
