Ramon Ramirez hasn't really been that bad if you look past the ERA. He has been victimized by the terrible terrible defense. His ERA is 4.34 but his FIP is only 3.23.
In fact all of the Mets' bullpen has been hurt by the unbelievably awful defense. If you look at the bullpen's numbers using fielding-independent stats they are right around the league average.
One other thing to keep in mind is that Acosta was REALLY bad for a long time. The bullpen numbers if you subtract him, and Carrasco, who aren't here anymore, really aren't that bad.
I wouldn't be opposed to upgrading or tweaking, but the four main guys (Ramirez, Parnell, Byrdak, Francisco) are solid. Rauch sucks.
