  • Key Moment In The Game: The key moment was the bottom of the 8th inning when Tim Byrdak walked in the third run for the Pirates. The Mets scored one run in the top of the 8th to cut the lead in half but a silly base running mistake by Lucas Duda killed the inning.
  • Game Ball: Mike Pelfrey: 7 IP | 4 H | 2 ER | 6 SO. Pelfrey pitched good enough to win but the Mets offense didn’t do much tonight.

  • Mets split the four game series with the Pirates.
  • Mets Offense: 4 H | 0-2 RISP.
