Mets Record: 22-24
Key Moment In The Game: The key moment was the bottom of the 7th inning when the Mets imploded and gave up 8 runs. Earlier in the game I tweeted my concern that the Mets had a lot of hits but very little runs to show for it and sure enough the Yankees made the Mets pay.
Game Ball: Willie Harris: 3-4 | 1 Run | 1 RBI. Harris also had an error in the game but was the most productive at the plate.
Additional Comments:
Mike Pelfrey: 5 IP | 8 H | 5 ER
Justin Turner had his 8 game hitting streak snapped.
Mets have lost two in a row.
Mets are 0-9 in rubber games in the Bronx.
