  • Mets Record: 22-23
  • Key Moment In The Game: The key moment was the top of the 7th inning when the Mets had runners on 1st and 3rd and didn’t score. Carlos Beltran struck out and Jason Bay popped out to end the inning. The Mets missed out on an opportunity to score and they wouldn’t get another in this game.
  • Game Ball: Jose Reyes: 3-5 | 2 Runs | 1 SB
  • Additional Comments:
  • Chris Capuano: 5.1 IP | 6 H | 6 ER
  • Justin Turner set a Mets rookie record tonight with an RBI in seven straight games.
  • Mets had their three game winning streak snapped.
  • Before the game it was announced that Mets Senior Director of Group Sales Tom Fersch passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. Also, former Mets great Gary Carter has multiple brain tumors. My condolences to the Fersch family and I hope everything works out for the best for Carter and his family.

No disrespect to Wright but Ike Davis could have helped the Mets tonight, Davis gives the Mets another chance for a big inning. I agree, having Bay and Beltran come up short in the 7th in a big spot was the key moment for the Mets…very impressed with Reyes defensively in this series, he had a great night amid the loss.

A bit disappointed in Bay. Really need him to get it together, especially with Wright and Davis out. The Reyes price tag just keeps going up and up with every game this year….
