  • Key Moment In The Game: The key moment was the bottom of the 6th inning when Justin Turner hit a two run scoring double. That gave the Mets a 3-0 lead and that’s how it ended on a rainy night at Citi Field.

      Little by little the starting pitching is becoming a strength. Niese, Capuano, and Big Pelf have been turning it up a notch, and I expect Dickey will be able to make that big pitch son.

      First shutout of the season, great job by Niese last night, if Izzy can hold up for the long haul, the Mets could have a nice one-two punch coming out of the BP in the later innings.

      Just going to throw this out there.
      Maybe Niese should pinch-hit, late in the game, preceding all of his future starts.
      Just an idea.
