With Castillo out of the picture, who will be the Mets 2B, that's the $64G question on all Mets fans minds, if I had to guess, I would go with Justin Turner, why? because looking at the candidates, it is now more about who can hit the ball than turning the DP, my concerns with that is whoever the Mets choose to man 2B, they will be in conjunction with Jose Reyes, we all know that Reyes is an exceptional defensive player, I'm not convinced that Turner/Emaus/DMurphy will be able to keep up with Reyes. If I was still looking defensively, than maybe Luis Hernandez, who seems to have a propensity of getting hurt. Still up in the air!

I'm still sticking with Emaus. I think Turner will eventually be sent down. I forgot Emaus is a rule 5 guy. That may play heavily into the decision here.

While none of the 2B candidates has distanced themselves from the pack, Luis is in all honesty was the least versatile choice. Castillo can play 2b, and that's it. The other three (I don't count L. Hey Man! Where you been! Glad your back LOL. I totally forgot Emaus is rule 5 guy. If no one really steps up he might get it by default because they are either forced to keep him or let him go.

Yeah, but losing Emaus only winds up costing $50K at the most ($50K if someone claims him off waivers, or $25K if he clears and the Blue Jays want him back). Castillo's' minor league deal with the Phillies has already paid for that. Hell, it's already paid for Beato's Rule 5 fees too.

Agree with you 100% Kerel. Castillo would produce very little either offensively or defensively. Though each of the prospective replacements has weak spots in their game, let's see if any of them can be a viable option for the future. If not, management knows what it will need to obtain in the off-season.
