The Future Of Jose Reyes

Posted on by Kerel Cooper

There has been a lot of talk lately about Jose Reyes as he enters into the last year of his contract with the New York Mets. Will he stay? Will he go? will he be traded? How much money will he make? In the video below I give my two cents about the future of Jose Reyes as a New York Met.

Mets Links From Around The Net:

  • NY Times Bats: Bay Says He Will Be Ready for Spring Training - This is good to hear because as I’ve said in the past I think its more important for Jason Bay to have a bounce back year than any other Met.
  • MLB Trade Rumors: Multiyear Free Agent Contracts On The Rise - During our blogger conference call with Sandy Alderson he expressed concern over this very issue but said that the Mets will adapt to the current trends if needed.
  • Mets Today: Would You Extend Jose Reyes? - As I said in the video above, in my opinion it all depends on how well he plays in 2011. I think it will be very difficult for the Mets to watch Reyes just walk away at the end of the season.
