First let me say I'm not sold on the idea of a potential trade for Upton. There are some things about him that give me pause like his shoulder and high SO. I do think because of his age and talent there is room for Upton to get much better.
With that said I would think RF is where I would put him regardless if Beltran is on the team or not. I know a lot of people are high on Pagan but I need to see him play well again this year and improve upon his numbers from last year before I'm convinced he's truly an everyday player.

Upton has a ton of natural ability and he's very young. The question would be could he adjust to playing in NY where a player is under the microscope. Especially the first year when he is adjusting to it.

You raise a good point about playing in NY. That is always a major concern when bringing in a player.

Where would you put him? If we're talking about an outfield without Beltran, then sure. But, I don't see him as a substantial improvement over Pagan. Plus, Pagan has already adjusted to hitting at Citi Field. Upton play primarily indoors, in something of a launching pad. So, you would have to expect a significant power correction in the Flushing sunshine.
