Thanks for the comments. I mentioned you in the video I did on Friday. Lets hope that after the Mets settle the GM/Manager search that they focus on pitching this off-season. Once again that should be the priority (IMO).

Just like you, my greatest concern for the Mets last off season was the pitching. I was very disappointed when a "quality" hurler wasn't added to the staff via free agency or trade and I feared that the 2010 Mets would suffer due to ineffective starting pitching. Like you, I was pleasantly surprised by the actual results. So you were not alone in this.
But as satisfying as many of the results were for the 2010 Mets pitching staff we are left to imagine how much better it might have been if the team did not anoint John Maine and Oliver Perez starters coming into the season. Had the team followed the advice you, I and others were trying to give them, who knows how much better they might have been without those starts wasted on the likes of Maine and Perez.
