Let’s See What Mejia’s Got
August 30, 2010According to Metsblog, Jenrry Mejia was promoted to Triple A and will make a start for the Bisons today (Monday August 30, 2010). In the video below I give my reasons why I feel Mejia should be called up to the Mets when the rosters expand and put into the starting rotation.

I thought about this when mapping out what I was going to say in the video but the bottom line/priority (In My Opinion) should be for the Mets to start preparing for 2011 and I think the Mets really need to find out what Mejia can do before the season ends so they know what they have to do (or don't do in the off season).

One constraint on calling up everyone on the 40 man would be Buffalo's playoff hopes. There is a certain responsibility for the big club to give the farm teams an opportunity to win. let's not forget the Bisons were less than pleased last year, and the development contract extension through 2012 included the onus that the Mets would ensure that talent was available to win.
