Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 1 – Pirates 2
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 62-62
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 1st inning when the Mets only scored one run. The Mets had 2 hits, a walk and a stolen base in the inning. They looked as though they were going to make this a long day for Zach Duke but that was not the case. The Mets offense scored one run in the 1st inning and went quietly into the afternoon once again.
  • Game Ball: Jose Reyes: 2-4 | 1 Run | 1 SB.
  • Additional Comments:
  • Johan Santana: 8 IP | 4 H | 2 ER | 9 SO.
  • Mets are now 26-40 on the road this season.
  • Before the game it was announced that Rod Barajas was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers and the Mets let him go to LA.
  • Up Next: The New York Mets return home to host the Florida Marlins: Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 7:10 pm.
