Mets Record: 59-59
Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 9th when the Mets scored 2 runs in the inning aided by a big Jeff Francoeur RBI triple. The Mets went up 3-1 at the time and that’s how it ended.
Game Ball: Carlos Beltran: 2-3 | 1 HR | 1 RBI | 2 Runs.
Additional Comments:
Jon Niese: 7 IP | 7 H | 1 ER | 5 SO.
David Wright: 3-4 | 1 Run.
Jeff Francoeur: 1-3 | 1 RBI. Francoeur had some good at-bats tonight. He saw 28 pitches in 4 plate appearances, which is unusually high for Francoeur.
Hisanori Takahashi picked up his first ever MLB save.
Mets are now 23-37 on the road this season.
Before the game the Mets announced that Francisco Rodriguez would miss the remainder of the season with a torn thumb ligament.
