Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 4 – Rockies 0

  • Mets Record: 57-57
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the bottom of the 7th inning when the Mets scored 2 runs produced by a Jose Reyes RBI single and a Fernando Martinez sacrifice fly. That put the Mets up 4-0 at the time and that was all the run support Johan Santana needed.
  • Game Ball: Johan Santana: 9 IP | 4 H | 0 ER | 10 SO.
  • Additional Comments:
  • More on Santana: 20/32 first pitch strikes and has not given up an ER in his last two starts.
  • Carlos Beltran had his best game of the season: 3-3 | 1 RBI
  • Before the game, the Mets announced they have placed Francisco Rodriguez on the restricted list for two days. He will be removed from the roster, will not be with the team, and will not be paid during that time.
  • After the game it was announced that Francisco Rodriguez was released from custody.
  • Mets are now 35-20 at home this season.
