Mets Offense: Nothing Good Can Come Of These Stats

Posted on by Kerel Cooper

I was looking over the Mets offensive stats this morning. I must say I knew the Mets offense has struggled this year but I didn’t realize they ranked so low compared to other teams in the National League.

Look at some of the National League rankings for the Mets offense:

  • Rank 13th in team avg (.251)
  • Rank 14th OBP (.316)
  • Rank 13th in runs (462)
  • Rank 14th in SLG (.387)
  • Rank 15th RISP w/ 2 outs (.218 avg)
  • Rank 16th (last) avg from 7th inning on (.234)
  • All the talk about pitching being the priority but the Mets offense has been a big time disappointment this season.
