  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 7th inning when Jeff Francoeur hit a home run. The Mets went up 1-0 at the time and that’s how it ended.
  • Game Ball: Johan Santana: 7.1 IP | 5 H | 6 SO. Santana carried a no hitter into the bottom of the 6th inning before giving up a hit.
  • Additional Comments:
  • Francisco Rodriguez came in the game in the bottom of the 8th inning and picked up his 24th save after recording the final 5 outs.
  • Mets are now back to a .500 record on the season.
  • Mets are now 22-36 on the road this season.
  • Before the game the Mets announced that they called up Ruben Tejada and Fernando Martinez. To make room, Jesus Feliciano was sent down to the minors and Alex Cora was released.
