Mets Record: 53-53
Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the lack of execution by the Mets in the 1st inning. Offense: Mets had two on and one out and could not score. Defense: Luis Castillo drops a potential double play ball which help aid the Braves scoring 3 runs in the inning. This pretty much sums up the game.
Game Ball: No one on the Mets deserves a game ball for the second game in a row. The team looked flat all night and they gave Santana no offensive support.
Additional Comments:
Johan Santana: 7 IP | 9 H | 4 ER | 11 SO.
The Mets have now dropped all the way back to .500 on the season and in 4th place in the NL East.
Mets are now 20-34 on the road this season.
Up Next: The New York Mets play the second game of the series in Atlanta against the Braves: Tuesday August 3, 2010 at 7:10 pm.
