For Gooden it had to be the 3 strikeouts after Fernando's in the all star game of 84 I think it was. Being the only pitcher to this day scoring 200 ks or more in his first 3 seasons, being the youngest to te Cy in 85 which is the best single pitching season EVER!!!

Strawberry? Man just watching that swing was a treat, I remember when he Ho Jo and Mcreynolds all hit back to back to back homeruns one game but honestly it has to be as a Yankee when I watched a game on tv where he hit 3 hrs. Strawberry was just awesome

I've never been able to decide which pitch of Gooden I like best. The fastball that no one could catch up to or the crazy 12 to 6 curveball?

I remember those moments but I wouldn't classify them as pleasant moments. Unfortunately for anyone who is under the age of 20 that's all they know Gooden and Strawberry for.

The moments that seem to stick in my mind for both Gooden and Strawberry occurred off the field or in some other capacity. Don’t worry. I’m not gong to exploit their checkered pasts.

For Strawberry, it’s simple. When the Mets donned those Rusty Staub wigs in honor of the ‘Le Grande Orange’ back in the mid-eighties. That portrait of Strawberry strolling side-by-side with his teammates always reminds me of those good times.

For Gooden, who always seemed more likely to be lurking in the background, his magical moment was a cameo appearance during the intro of the Let’s Go Mets, Go! video. "DO IT!" was Gooden's line, I believe.

Doc- 1984- My Dad came home with tickets from a sub-contractor (Lord Electric! Thanks guys!). First row at Shea, to the right of the home dugout when facing the field. Best seat in the house. Doc on the mound. I was in total awe of the pop on his fastball and that nasty break on his curve. Of all the games I've been to, it's the one I point to as the most awesome. I thought we had Championships lined up that day.
Darryl- Game 7, 1986 WS. Was in the upper deck in Left. I thought it was going to collapse. At that moment we all knew we were winning the WS, the most unbelievable sports feeling ever. A feeling a Yankee fan will never have!

Oh this one is easy....

Gooden being carried off the field by his teammates after pitching a no-hitter while his Dad was in the hospital.

Darryl making a sliding catch in the deciding game of the 1996 World Series and all the fans in the stands starting the DARRYL chant.

Yeah, I said it. Yankee memories!
