Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 2 – Dodgers 3
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 50-48
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the fact that the Mets offense did not get a hit after the 6th inning. Everyone is so quick to point the finger at Jerry Manuel and Oliver Perez but the bottom line is the Mets bats went to sleep in the late part of the game and that is the reason they lost this game. Bottom line.
  • Game Ball: Jose Reyes: 2-5 | 1 RBI
  • Additional Comments:

  • Mets are now 20-32 on the road this season.
  • Mets Catcher Rod Barajas left the game in the 6th inning with an apparent injury.
  • Before the game the Mets announced: John Maine had arthroscopic surgery yesterday to clean out scar tissue in his right shoulder. The surgery was performed by Dr. Michael Cicotti in Philadelphia. Maine is expected to be ready for Spring Training.
  • Mets Offense: No hits after the 6th inning and 3-14 RISP.
