  • Mets Record: 50-47
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 8th inning. The Mets had the bases loaded and Jason Bay hit a bases clearing double. That put the Mets up 6-1 at the time and put the game out of reach.
  • Game Ball: Jason Bay: 2-4 | 3 RBI and an outstanding defensive catch early on in the game.
  • Additional Comments:
  • Johan Santana: 7 IP | 5 H | 1 ER | 4 SO.
  • Mets snapped their four game losing streak.
  • Mets are now 20-31 on the road this season.
  • Mets Manager, Jerry Manuel was ejected in the 2nd inning after arguing a questionable call where Luis Castillo was called out on a grounder to shortstop.
  • Kudos to the Mets outfield of Carlos Beltran, Jason Bay and Angel Pagan. All three made some outstanding defensive plays.
  • Francisco Rodriguez came in to the 9th and pitched a rare 1-2-3 inning.
  • Up Next: The New York Mets play the third game of the series in LA against the Dodgers: Saturday July 24, 2010 at 4:10 pm.
