Yeah under normal circumstances the steal is probably not the best idea in that spot. I think even Beltran said it was a bad play after the game but I'm going to give him a pass this time.

Also his lack of hustle on gb to 2b in 9th inning last night. Was he favoring the knee? If so then why did he steal? If he can run then run out groundballs too. He's been playing ballgames already so he should know if he can run or not by now. But maybe he was favoring the knee so let's wait on that. While on the subject, Wright also gave up running out his groundball to 3B in 9th also, not good if you want to win games.

On Beltran, I think what you may see is him pick and choose his spots when to hustle. I'm not saying I agree but the reality of the situation is he is not 100% that's why he has that huge brace on his knee.
