Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 1 – Nationals 2
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 44-35
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the bottom of the 9th when Pedro Feliciano walked Willie Harris. Nothing good ever comes from walking someone in the 9th and sure enough Harris eventually came around to score the game winning run on a Ryan Zimmerman sacrifice fly.
  • Game Ball: Ike Davis: 1-4 | 1 RBI
  • Additional Comments:
  • Johan Santana’s line: 7 IP | 6 H | 1 ER | 7 SO
  • Jose Reyes sat out his second game in a row with a stiff back
  • Mets are now 16-23 on the road this season.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the second game in Washington against the Nationals: Friday July 2, 2010 at 7:05 pm.
