  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the bottom of the 8th, after the Marlins scored one run to close the Mets lead to 6-5, with 2 outs and 2 runners on the Mets decided to bring in Francisco Rodriguez for a 4 out save and he got the job done.
  • Game Ball: David Wright: 2-5 | 2 RBI | 1 Run
  • Additional Comments:
  • Mike Pelfrey’s line: 4.2 IP | 12 H | 4 ER | 3 SO
  • Before the game Jose Reyes was pulled from the lineup with a stiff back.
  • Mets are now 16-22 on the road this season.
  • Ruben Tejada has hit safely in 12 out of 13 games.
  • Francisco Rodriguez collected his 18th save of the season.

      You didn't mention the Mets closed out June (in July) with an 18-8 record (.692) for the month. An, despite the start, the Mets have still gone 7-0 when Pelfrey starts after a loss.
      I'm just thankful that there are only 5 more games against the Marlins. Talk about having a teams number, jeez.

        Interesting numbers on Pelfrey. I haven't looked this up but I'm going to guess part of that is he gets some good run support. Yeah the Marlins really do have the Mets number.

      It appears I was mistaken, Pelfrey is 6-0 when starting following a Mets loss. The Mets are 8-0 when Pelfrey starts following a Mets loss.
      Surprisingly only 3 Pelfrey starts have resulted in a Mets loss, and they all followed a Mets win.
