  • Speaking of pitching, Edwin Jackson no hit the Tampa Bay Rays last week. Even though he threw 149 pitches and walked 8 batters, a no hitter is still a tremendous accomplishment.
  • Congrats to Billy Wagner who recorded his 400th career save last week.

  • Streaks and Standings:

  • Wins: Baltimore Orioles have won 4 games in a row but are still in last place in the AL East. I guess it helps to have a weekend series against the Nationals.
  • Loss: Pittsburgh Pirates have lost 6 in a row and sit in last place in the NL Central.
  • Standings: For a complete listing of all the MLB standings go here.
  • Series of The Week:

I’m looking forward to the Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins (June 28-30, 2010). These are the top two teams in the AL Central and last season it came down to a play-in game to determine the division winner. It should be a fun series.
