Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 5 – Tigers 6
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 41-31
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the bottom of the 7th when David Wright struck-out with the bases loaded and one out. The Mets were down 6-5 at the time and threatening to tie or move ahead but Wright when down swinging, the Mets couldn’t capitalize and lost the game. Tigers pitcher Phil Coke pitched very well in the 7th and did a great job getting out of trouble.
  • Game Ball: Jesus Feliciano: 3-5 | 2 Runs
  • Additional Comments:
  • Angel Pagan (Spasms) and Rod Barajas (Back) were unavailable for today’s game.
  • Hisanori Takahashi’s line: 4 IP | 8 H | 6 ER | 4 BB
  • Ruben Tejada extended his hitting streak to 8 games.
  • Mets are now 26-11 at home this season.
  • Before the game the Mets announced that they have recalled catcher Josh Thole and have optioned lefthanded pitcher Raul Valdes to Buffalo.
