Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 8 – Indians 4
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 37-28
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 3rd inning when the Mets scored 5 runs with 4 doubles (Pagan, Wright, Davis, Bay) in the inning. The Mets went up 5-0 at the time and never trailed.
  • Game Ball: Angel Pagan: 3-5 | 3 RBI
  • Additional Comments:
  • Mets Offense: 14 Hits tonight.
  • Jon Niese’s line: 7 IP | 8 H | 3 ER | 3 SO. I said before the game that I’m very interested to see how Niese performes after going 9 innings last time out. While he wasn’t great tonight, he got the job done and had a quality start.
  • Jason Bay left the game in the 6th inning with a leg injury. According to SNY, Bay is day-to-day.
  • Jose Reyes extended his hitting streak to 8 games.
  • Mets are now 13-18 on the road.
  • Mets have won 6 games in a row.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the third game of the series & go for the sweep in Cleveland againt the Indians: Thursday June 17, 2010 at 7:05 pm.
