Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 7 – Indians 6
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 36-28
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 5th inning when the Mets scored 5 runs highlighted by an Ike Davis 2-run home run. At the time the Mets went up 6-4 and never looked back.
  • Game Ball: David Wright: 3-5 | 3 RBI
  • Additional Comments:
  • Mets Offense: 12 H | 1 HR | 2 SB | 3-12 RISP
  • Johan Santana’s line: 7 IP | 7 H | 4 ER. Like Mike Pelfrey a couple nights ago, Santana did not have his best stuff but was able to go deep into the game and get the win.
  • Jose Reyes extended his hitting streak to 7 games.
  • Francisco Rodriguez got his 14th save of the season despite giving up a 2-run home run in the 9th inning.
  • Mets are now 12-18 on the road.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the second game of the series in Cleveland againt the Indians: Wednesday June 16, 2010 at 7:05 pm.
