go57mets – Is it time that the Mets just man up and eat Gary Mathews Jr.’s contract, and designate him for assignment? I cant bare to watch him strike out again with the bases loaded, while Jesus Feliciano is hitting 403. in Triple A. Its time this guy be brought up. Hes hit well above 300. the past 4 years in triple A and is just rotting. Hes a hard worker, and according to Alex Cora, he always makes a positive contribution to a team.
