Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 10 – Nationals 7
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 20-22
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 1st inning when the Mets jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Nationals mounted a late comeback but were not able to get over the hump.
  • Game Ball: Raul Valdes: 5 IP | 7 H | 3 ER | 1 BB | 6 SO
  • Additional Comments:
  • Mets Offense: 15 hits tonight.
  • Jason Bay, Ike Davis and David Wright combined: 7-14 | 4 RBI
  • David Wright : for the first time since May 2nd Wright did not strike out.
  • John Maine left the game in the 1st inning due to poor mechanics.
  • Up Next: The Mets return home to open the subway series against the New York Yankees: Friday May 21, 2010 at 7:10pm.
