Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 3 – Braves 2
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 19-20
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 2nd inning when Rod Barajas hit a 2-run double to put the Mets up 2-0 at the time. They never trailed as they went on to win 3-2.
  • Game Ball: Mike Pelfrey: 7.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 BB | 3 SO
  • Additional Comments:
  • The Mets snapped their 5 game losing streak.
  • Francisco Rodriguez got his 6th save of the season.
  • Jason Bay extended his hitting streak to 11 games.
  • The Mets only had 5 hits tonight but they were able to manufacture 3 runs, which is good to see.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the second game of this two game series in Atlanta against the Braves: Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 7:10pm.
