Top Stories:

  • Triple Crown: We’ve got a long way to go but can Andre Either do it? He currently leads the National League in Avg, HR and RBI’s.
  • Tyler Clippard: Clippard is tied for the most wins in baseball with 7. The funky part about this story is he’s a relief pitcher. It’s not every day you see a non-starter tied for the most wins.
  • All Star Voting: I have not voted yet, but if you’d like to click here.
  • Streaks and Standings:

  • Wins:  Los Angeles Dodgers have won 7 games in a row (9 out of 10) and are currently in 3rd place in the NL West.
  • Loss: Milwaukee Brewers have lost 6 games in a row and currently sit in 5th place in the NL Central.
  • Standings: For a complete listing of all the MLB standings go here.
  • Series of The Week:

I’m looking forward to the New York Yankees vs. New York Mets (May 21-23, 2010). It’s always a fun time when the Subway Series is going. No matter how good or bad either team is doing, this series is always great for the fans.

As most of you know by now the Phillies have been spoken to by MLB for stealing signs. See the video below for a recap.

This seems to be a "sign" of the times. Maybe the Phillies were taking their signal from the New England Patriots. Baseball Jim "signing" off!

I don't have a problem with stealing signed in the flow of the game but when you start spying in from the bullpen using binoculars I think thats a bit much.

    4. Stealing signs is fine as long as you do it on the field without the aid of any technology or equipment. The Phillies are cheaters, not gamers.
