Quick Game Notes:

  • Mets Record: 12-9
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was the top of the 4th inning when Oliver Perez was pitching terribly and Jerry Manuel decided he had enough and took Perez out of the game. Perez ended with the following line: 3.2 IP | 3 ER | 4 BB. This was key because at that point the Mets stopped the bleeding, then went on to completed trounce the Dodgers.
  • Game Ball: David Wright: 3-3 | 4 RBIs | 1 R | 1 BB
  • Additional Comments:
  • The Mets swept the Dodgers in today’s double-header.
  • Mets have won 6 games in a row and are 8-1 on the current homestand.
  • David Wright collected his 1,000th career base hit.
  • Hisanori Takahashi continues to pitch well. Takahashi has 14.1 IP and 21 SO on the season.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the third game of the series and go for the sweep against the LA Dodgers: Wednesday April 28, 2010 at 1:10pm.
