Ike Davis MLB career got off to a good start last night as the kid went 2-4, 1 RBI. Below is a listing of recent New York Mets notables who made their MLB debut under similar hype and pressure.

  • Ike Davis: April 19, 2010 – 2-4 | 1 RBI
  • Jose Reyes: June 10, 2003 – 2-4 | 2 Runs
  • David Wright: July 21, 2004 – 0-4
  • Fernando Martinez: May 26, 2009 – 0-3 | 1 RBI

    • What does all this mean? Not much, it’s just one game but it’s interesting to look at how some of the recent Mets prospects have performed in their first game under all the hype.
