Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 4 – Cubs 0
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 6-8
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment was in the bottom of the 2nd when Jose Reyes hit a two-tun triple. The Mets went up 2-0 at the time and never looked back.
  • Game Ball: Mike Pelfrey: 7 IP | 3 H | 0 ER
  • Additional Notes: I guess the day off did Jose Reyes some good because he looked refreshed and had his best game of the season so far: 4-5, 2 RBIs, 1 SB. On another note, it looks like Carlos Beltran will be out longer than anticipated. It was reported by SNY during the game that the doctor has not cleared Carlos Beltran for baseball activity.
  • Up Next: The Mets play the third game of this series against the Chicago Cubs: Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 7:10 pm.
