Angel Pagan Should Play CF Everyday

In the video below I give my thoughts as to why I think Angel Pagan should be the Mets everyday center fielder until Carlos Beltran returns.

Totally agree, getting much better production from Pagan than GMJ. Plus, GMJ has double the Ks (12) than Pagan (6), in a comparable number of at bats . I am concerned about Pagan’s output on extra-base hits. Last year 37% of his hits wet for extra bases. Right now it is less than 3%. Of course, his batting mostly at the end of the lineup, this season thus far, probably contributes to that

I also think this is the perfect time to let Pagan play and see if he can grow as a player. He's still a little rough around the edges and giving him a chance to play everyday with no one looking over his shoulder can be a good thing long term.

I agree 100%… I don’t even think GMJ should be on this roster… I would rather Pagan play everyday and have Pridie as the 4th outfielder… I don’t think at this point in his carear GMJ brings anything to the table.. you said it best its about doing the little things… Last night when GMJ was unable to bunt Reyes over, I turned to my wife and said “this guy has to go”… There is no reason for him to be here if he can not even contribute in the “little things” to help this team win…

Hey for $1m bucks they gave it a shot.. it didn’t work… move on…

Agreed, to further my point, in the 8th inning last night, Pagan came up to bat with Davis on 1st and he was able to lay down a sacrifice bunt moving Davis to 2nd (the same thing GMJ couldn't accomplish Monday). Later on in that inning Tatis hit the 2-run home run to put the game out of reach.
