Quick Game Notes:

  • Final Score: Mets 6 – Marlins 7
  • Box Score: Click here for the complete box score.
  • Mets Record: 1-1
  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment of the game was in the top of the 10th inning when Ronny Paulino singled off Hisanori Takahashi to produce the go ahead run on a very close play at the plate. I’d like to also add that Fernando Tatis made a bonehead play in the 7th inning by trying to score on a pass ball. He was thrown out at the plate with David Wright at bat with the bases loaded. Not good Tatis.
  • Game Ball: I’m going to give game balls to each player who made their Mets debut tonight: Jenrry Mejia, Hisanori Takahashi and Ruben Tejada. Welcome to the team fellas!
  • What I Was Doing During The Game: Pacing back and forth in my living room. It’s amazing, it’s only the second game of the season but this one was such a roller coster ride. I’m glad the Mets showed a lot of fight tonight. We didn’t see a lot of that last season. I’m a bit disappointed in John Maine’s performance though (5 IP | 4 ER | 1 BB | 2 HR).
  • Up Next: The Mets play their third game of this series against the Marlins Thursday April 8, 2010 at 7:10pm
