  • Key Moment In The Game: In my opinion the key moment of the game was the bottom of the 6th inning when the Mets scored 4 runs and opened up the game. In the top half of the inning it looked like Johan Santana was tiring as he gave up his only earned run of the game but the Mets offense gave the pitching staff some breathing room by scoring 4 times.

      Kerel,
      Great pictures. I'm floundering around–catching Fast Forward to see the TV version I missed–and your pics offer a chance to bask in the glow a little longer. We need all the glow we can get with this team. And they were out of those apples by the time I got in! I'll take a bite out of a win instead for my 21st home opener.

        Thanks for the comments Matt. Yeah I got to the game much earlier than normal because I wanted to get into the HoF and Museum, walk around and get some content for the blog. Wow 21 home openers uh? Monday was my 2nd ever home opener. In the past I refused to go to opening day because of the crowds but I went to my 1st opener last year because of the new park and I decided that I would make it a little personal tradition of mine to go to ever Citi Field home opener. So far 2 years in a row LOL lets see how long this last…
