Mets 2010 Schedule: Circle These Dates
Posted on March 27, 2010 by Kerel Cooper
With a little over a week to go before the start of the 2010 baseball season I was reviewing the Mets schedule today. Below are a list of dates that I will personally keep an eye on.
April 5th: Opening Day – vs Florida Marlins. I will be in attendance for Opening Day. I was there last year when the Mets opened Citi Field. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the changes that have taken place at the park as well as visiting McFadden’s.
April 30th: vs Philadelphia Phillies (away). This is the first of many meeting with the team that has been a thorn in the Mets side for the last three season. These games are always fun.
May 21st: vs New York Yankees. This is the first game in the 2010 subway series. There is always extra excitement in the air when the Mets and Yankees get together. I love the subway series.
June 6th: vs Florida Marlins. Personally I care about this game because its the day after my birthday so the wife and I will be spending the day at the ballpark.
July 13th: 81st All-Star Game, in Anaheim. I’m not a big all-star game fan but out of all the sports this all-star game happens to be my favorite.
July 15th: vs San Francisco Giants (away). This is the first of an eleven game west coast trip. If (hopefully) the Mets are still alive, this will no doubt be an important stretch of games.
August 1st: Hall of Fame Induction – vs Arizona Diamondbacks. I have tickets for this game and it should be a very special day as we watch Frank Cashen, Dwight Gooden, Davey Johnson and Darryl Strawberry being enshrined in the Mets Hall of Fame.
