I'm trying to stay as positive as I can but here is the question I struggle with: Even if the Mets are 100% healthy. With the team they have right now are they good enough to compete with the Phillies?
I'm don't think the answer is "yes". I'm very concerned about the starting pitching and I don't know if Maine, Perez and Pelfrey will hold up all season long.

True, hopefully its one of those years were 88 89 wins can get the wc…you are right if 2 of the 3 can be healthy and pitch consistantly i think we have a shot….lets believe (for now)

I love the enthusiasm, at the end of last season I would have given us no chance so good for you. However, as spring turns eternal, I feel that there is much more of a chance, I like everything I have heard from camp thus far, hopefull we can get hot and stay hot like 06, but I think it best for all met fans to look at things positively and of course pray that we can all be healthy….lets just hope that we really do have a true number 2 on staff already
