Think of the Mets as a piece of meat and their top prospects as the seasoning. You've got to leave the prospects in the minors for appropriate seasoning if you want the meat to, ultimately, be tender. Then, once the meat has been seasoned and marinated for the appropriate time, the meat can be cooked up and will be delicious. Nothing like home cooking. Keep your top prospects, allow them to be properly seasoned, and enjoy!
LOL I'm hungry now LOL. Seriously though, I agree with you. Cannot rush players before it's their time. You can 1) kill their confidence and/or 2) decrease their market value (if the plan is to eventually trade them).

Thanks for the link. I’m hoping to get another look at Fernando Martinez at some point this year too. Gary Matthews will block him to some degree. But I’d like to see what he can do in September.
If F-Mart keeps on playing like he's been playing in the Caribbean World Series it will be hard for the Mets not to bring him up earlier than September.
