News and Notes: Henry Blanco, Ike Davis and Blog News

I’m sitting in my living room as I type this and my house is a complete mess. I’m getting my windows replaced today so unfortunately I don’t know if I will have time to do a video. With that said, I wanted to leave you guys with a few things that I’ve been reading.

1. Metsblog is reporting that the Mets have signed Henry Blanco. My first thought: Another catcher? My second thought: What’s the future hold for Omir Santos and Josh Thole? I guess time will tell.

2. Baseball Bloggers Alliance buddy Greg Fertel of Pending Pinstripes informed us yesterday that MLB has hit the Yankee Universe with a cease and disist order. You can read more about it here.

3. YouTube user noby03 has a great freeze frame video of an Ike Davis at bat. Check it out below.
