The baseball hot stove is heating up. With that said there are a lot of rumors and potential deals being discussed. Below are my thoughts on Luis Castillo, Carl Crawford and Xavier Nady.

I agree Crawford would be an ideal left fielder, with Beltran in center and Frenchy in right we would be good both defensively and offensively. On your thought about Nady i would personally rather the Mets sign Endy Chavez. He was a real spark for the Mets. The great catch he made in game 7, the game winning drag bunt against Colorado i think. The guy is a Met legend, he makes the game fun and when the game is fun the team wins. Send Parnell Niese and F-Mart to Toronto and sign Halladay. lock him up for six years and have the greatest one two punch in the majors. then with Ollie back 100% being the out of his mind left hander he is capable of being we will have a solid number three. big Pelf and Maine at the back end. With a little bullpen help we should be in good shape.
I think we all miss Endy but I think the reason I would prefer Nady is he can play 1B and maybe platoon with Murphy. I don't think Endy has that versatility. Regarding Halladay I think it will take more that Parnell, Niese and F-Mart to get him. If I were Toronto, I'd be asking for Reyes above anything else. Would you be willing to trade Reyes for Halladay if the Mets can sign Halladay long term?
No, I would only trade Reyes if it was for multiple players. Reyes has to much value to me to trade him for a guy who will only play once every five days. After thinking about it maybe Halladay isn't the answer only because of what it would cost us. I am excited to see how this winter plays
