Mr Shea Stadium Collectibles

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

I recently received the following email from John over at Mr Shea Stadium:

Dear Mets fans and collectors,

We are excited to announce the grand re-opening of our updated web site! It has taken us some time but it is finally done! Many of you have been waiting a long time for this and we apologize for the wait. We are sure you will not be disappointed.

Please forward this email to anyone who you think might be interested in Shea Stadium and New York Mets collectibles. Don’t let the recent performance of the Mets cause you to miss out on these items. And remember, it’s not too early to start shopping for Christmas. To see our site, just click the “Visit My Site” button in this email.

Best regards,

Mr Shea Stadium

I personally have not purchased anything, but they do have some pretty cool stuff, so check them out!

Do The Mets and Phillies Really Have A Rivalry

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

There has been a lot of talk about who the Mets fans should cheer for in the World Series (including on this blog). Some Mets fans have said that they are cheering for the Yankees because they can’t cheer for our most hated rival in the Phillies. That got me to thinking, do the Mets and Phillies really have a rivalry? In the video below I explore that question and more.

My Mets Closet

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

This post was inspired by Twitter buddy and Metsblog.com contributor Michael Baron. Last week on Twitter, Michael asked the question: “What is the oldest Mets jersey that you own? Do you wear it only to games?

At that time I responded to Michael and said “I’ve got a home Seaver jersey. I rarely wear it. I’ve got a blue with orange trim t-shirt which is my go to..” With that said, I figured I’d take it a step further and catalog every piece of Mets clothing I own (yes I know I’m crazy). Below are pics of everything that is currently in my Mets Closet.
