Twitter Question: Sensitive Question Mets Fans: If the team can fill multiple needs (say LF & Starting Pitcher) would you be open to trading Reyes or Beltran?

Thanks for the comments and I understand your point. It is difficult to let go of core players but at the same time answer me this: If we don't trade any of them, how do the Mets go about filling needs such as LF, Starting Pitching, Catcher and 1b?

Just look at the Free agents that are going to be out there in 2010. Victor Martinez is going to be a free agent so the Mets can sign him to be a cacther…The Blue Jays are going to be willing to trade Roy Halladay. So we can give them some good prospects (not core players) but prospects. Also if im not mistaken I think Jason Bay is going to be a free agent as well so he can also be our left fielder. I know we cant get them all but those are guys we can get without trading none of our core players. I hope I answered your question.

I doubt Boston will let Bay go but I do have my eye on him

WHAT?!?!? Heck no I wont trade none of those players. 1 becasue Jose Reyes is to young to trade and he is going to be a star in the future. He is the face of this organization along with David Wright. I wont trade Beltran either becasue he is our best player right now and there is not a lot of people in the majors with beltran's talent. Beside I dont think there's a lot of teams out there that can afford to pay Beltrans contract..so I say no dont trade none of those players.
