Thanks for the comments Dave. Sheffield is a very outspoken person and sometimes I think he gets a bad wrap for it. Only time will tell, but I think this will work out ok.
I’m glad to see that you like the Sheffield signing. I’ve read so many negative articles about bringing Sheff in. You brought up a good point about his fiery personality livening up the team too. I hadn’t thought about that but the Mets are a little too laid back at times. I’ll be sorry to see Marlon Anderson go, but these days players over 35 need to scramble for jobs in the majors. He hasn’t justified the two-year contract that the Mets gave him before last season.
