Analyzing The Mets Offense
February 12, 2009Last season, the Mets offense was 2nd in the NL in runs scored. Coming into the 2009 season, there are a number of question marks on the offensive side. In my video post, I discuss the offense as it current is put together.

Cooper, you talk about the lack of right hand power. Last year this team was ‘lacking’ power and they still were 2nd in the NL in runs scored. I do not expect Delgado (the mutt) to do anything this year, but I have been wrong before. It is his walk year, so maybe he’ll actually try and play a little ball for the Mets.
Like most Met fan, I’d love to see Manuelo in a Mets uniform. I actually think its more likely to happen that most realize. The Mets line has been that ‘we are not interested in Manny.’ I honestly think they are only using this tactic to keep his price down. I expect that once the contract talks gets serious, the Mets will step up and land the whale.
When/If that happens, we will have ourselves a subway series and we all know – the METS are the better team (with Manny).
